The SR 6SPI includes an SR PS24-2A DC power supply and generates voltage and control signals necessary to lock signal polarities of the DirecTV 5-satellite Slimline ODU, 95W, and 72.5W satellite dishes.
Its unique design offers F-connector powering to ensure a secure connection and to remotely power the SR 6SPI inserter if needed. A heat sink lid distributes any heat load to keep the housing cool. High port-to-port isolation of the SR 6SPI ensures signal integrity, preventing any crosstalk. SR TA6AL amplifiers located upstream in the trunk may also be powered remotely using a SR 6SPI. LED lights verify the presence of power on the lines. A ground lug with UL-listed screw provides a ground point on the case. Output connectors are DC-blocked for better control of trunk voltages.[/column-third-2-3]

The die-cast aluminum housing with plated, machined brass connectors, high frequency inserts and integral cast heat sink ensures high reliability.

The SR SN5 “Normalizer” is designed to reduce the 250-750MHz (B-Band)power level to a level comparable to the 950–1450 MHz (Ku-Band) signal. This minimizes the tendency of over-driving amplifiers in a distribution system. The “Normalizer” typically precedes the first amplifier in the trunk of a
DirecTV Ka/Ku distribution system. All Ports are power-passing. The 95W signal (when present) is not required to have normalization since it does not have a 250 – 750 MHz signal present. Hence, the SR SN5 does not accommodate this Ku signal.[/column-third-2-3]
